The Democratic National Convention is not open to the public, but that doesn’t mean you can’t watch it all live from the United Center and McCormick Place in Chicago.

The four-day event is expected to feature notable speakers, including former President Barack Obama, President Joe Biden, Vice President and Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris, vice presidential candidate Tim Walz and many others. Rumor has it that some celebrities will also appear.

Large crowds are expected outside the event venues, with protests planned at several locations across the city.

The DNC will take place from August 19 to 22.

Convention programming begins in prime time at the United Center in Chicago on Monday from 5:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. CT and Tuesday through Thursday from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. CT.

How can you stream it live?

The NBC 5 Chicago News The 24/7 streaming channel will provide viewers with a live, uninterrupted coverage of the DNC keynote speakers. The stream will air each day of the convention starting at 5:30 p.m. CT until the end of the event.

How to watch on TV

NBC Chicago will broadcast prime-time coverage of the DNC, featuring the evening’s keynote speakers, interviews with prominent politicians and undecided voters, and expert analysis each day of the convention looking ahead to the November presidential election.

Primetime DNC coverage will air live from the United Center on the following days/times:

  • 19 August at 9pm
  • 20 August at 9pm
  • 21 August at 8pm
  • 22 August at 8pm

Beginning Sunday, August 18, and throughout the duration of the convention, NBC 5 Chicago and Telemundo Chicago’s extensive DNC Week coverage will feature NBC 5 News political reporter Mary Ann Ahern and Noticiero Telemundo Chicago political reporter Iris Berríos providing viewers with expert reports on the latest DNC ​​news and highlights from the United Center. In addition to numerous interviews with special guests and expert analysis throughout the week, Ahern and Berríos will also provide viewers with a local perspective on the most talked-about moments of the convention.

In addition, NBC Chicago legend Carol Marin will reunite with longtime colleague Mary Ann Ahern in special editions of NBC 5 News live from the United Center at 6 p.m. throughout DNC ​​week.

From August 19-22, Marin and Ahern will dive deep into the hottest topics of the day in special segments called “The Brief.” They will also feature live interviews with local politicians and political analysts who will provide additional insight into the day’s key events and speakers. Illinois Governor JB Pritzker will join Ahern and Marin for a special live interview on August 22.
