Brittany Mahomes is “deeply disturbed” by Donald Trump’s public attack on her close friend Taylor Swift. According to sources, the Kansas City Chiefs player’s wife is questioning her support for the former president.

Brittany, who has been married to Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes since 2022, sparked a liberal meltdown last month when she liked a post on social media about the 78-year-old Trump.

Weeks later, Taylor, 34, publicly endorsed Kamala Harris’s candidacy for president – a move that generated 338,000 visits to the federal government’s voter registration website after she shared a link on Instagram.

Trump hit back in predictably sharp fashion on his Truth Social platform, claiming, “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT” – which prompted 29-year-old Brittany to “wonder” if she would continue to support his campaign.

“She is putting her support for Donald Trump after attacking Taylor and saying he hated her,” a source exclusively told DailyMail.com.

The source added that Trump’s decision to respond so hatefully angered Brittany.

“She doesn’t believe in hate in any form and loves Taylor so much,” the insider continued. “This has shaken her to the core.”

They added: “This doesn’t mean she’s suddenly voting for Kamala. It just made her more conscious of supporting him so publicly.”

In August Attentive users caught the soon-to-be mother of three liking a post by Trump in which he outlined 16 of his policies to his 26.3 million followers, ranging from topics such as immigration to the economy.

This statement sparked outrage among liberals on social media, and Brittany appeared to respond to her critics with a fierce response.

“I mean honestly, to be a hater as an adult you have to have deep rooted childhood issues that you don’t want to heal,” she wrote in her Instagram story.

Fans feared that Brittany’s apparent endorsement of Trump’s policies could cause awkward tensions with her fellow Chiefs, the WAG, who have publicly expressed their disdain for Trump.

After the presidential debate on September 10, Taylor announced in a lengthy Instagram post that she would vote for Kamala in November.

She did not personally attack or confront Trump, but she signed her support for Harris with the words: “Childless cat lady.”

It is a reference to Trump’s running mate, Senator JD Vance, who said in a 2021 interview with Tucker Carlson that the United States was run by Democrats, corporate oligarchs and “a bunch of childless cat ladies who are unhappy with their own lives and the choices they’ve made and therefore want to make the rest of the country unhappy too.”

Taylor also urged her millions of followers to learn about the election and register to vote. She shared a link to vote.gov in her Instagram story and shared her Grid post there.

Hundreds of thousands of people – over 338,000 – clicked on the link in Swift’s story.

More than 11 million people liked the photo Swift posted of herself with one of her three cats, named after the fictional character Benjamin Button.

It remains to be seen whether Taylor will be reunited with Brittany in a luxury box this season, with the couple sitting in separate suites for the final two games (pictured last season).

But Taylor and Brittany made it clear that there is no bad blood between them by attending the US Open with their partners.

Fans feared that Brittany’s apparent endorsement of Trump’s policies could cause awkward tensions with fellow Chiefs and WAG Taylor, who has publicly expressed her disdain for Trump in the past.

On Sunday, Taylor returned to Arrowhead Stadium and sat apart from Brittany for the second week in a row, even though they were inseparable last season cheering on their men.

Taylor, who has been dating tight end Travis Kelce since last year, arrived at the game earlier in the day with her mother Andrea, brother Austin and singer Danielle Haim.

While Taylor wasn’t sitting next to Brittany during the Chiefs’ Week 2 win, she was sitting with Chariah Gordon, the fiancée of wide receiver Mecole Hardman.

Chariah could be seen celebrating with the pop star in a suite as Kansas City increased its lead to 2-0.
