Brighton 4-0 Crawley: Fan opinions on the Carabao Cup match

We asked you for your opinion after the Carabao Cup match between Brighton and Crawley Town on Tuesday.

Here are some of your comments:

Andrew: Went to the Amex and watched a very competitive game. Crawley made it a tough game at times against what you might call our second team. However, we were full of talent and energy and our class shone through. Towards the end we were creating chances at will. There was a little extra spice at the end when Crofts and the Crawley manager came face to face.

Mick: A difficult game, poor refereeing. Typical of a lower-class, physical team. Brighton’s finishing was accurate. Some good performances – Baleba, Sarmiento, Enciso and Webster were the best of the bunch. O’Riley’s injury looked serious but went unpunished. We wish him well. We look forward to playing a more accomplished team in the next round. Keep the faith.

David: Crawley looked like a team, Brighton looked like a group of 10 who had just come together for a game – which they probably were, as there were so many new players. Four more goals and one conceded is admirable and we can only improve as we play more games.

Liam: We were a little shaky in the first 29 minutes but the goal settled our nerves a little. In the second half Brighton were on top and left Crawley far behind.

Peter: I was at the U21 game at Crawley last Tuesday and it was a similar team that (in my opinion) came to knock us off the park. I can only hope O’Riley comes out of it OK. As for the game, Crawley actually had the majority (unusual for Albion) and could have scored with better finishing.

Colin: I don’t understand why they would risk a player who was signed for over £25 million on Monday in a meaningless game. I think that’s gross mismanagement.
