Several members of the Celtics may be having the best summer of their lives after the 2024 NBA championship. While some C’s were busy winning a gold medal at the Paris Olympics, other members of the team were celebrating Payton Pritchard, who recently got married.
As it turns out, Pritchard’s wedding also featured a familiar face: former Celtics forward Blake Griffin. And according to videos from the big event, Griffin also performed Pritchard’s ceremony. C’s fans will enjoy some of the images from the weekend, including a group photo of those who managed to make it there.

Griffin only played one season in Boston, from 2022-2023, but it was clear he had a huge impact on his teammates. Midway through last year, it came out that several members of the Celtics were begging Griffin to return to the team. But Griffin, 35, stayed out of the spotlight as he enjoyed some time with his family.
As for Pritchard and Griffin’s connection, they spent a lot of time together during that single season. During the pregame locker room open to the media, the two were often seen joking around, as their locker rooms were next to each other. Griffin also revealed that he helped recruit Pritchard to Oklahoma, though the guard ended up having a brilliant career at Oregon.
Several Celtics have created unforgettable moments throughout the summer after winning the title. The C’s also have a chance to defend their title as the best team in the NBA, as they will be returning with virtually the same roster. For now, the Celtics will continue to enjoy the summer as champions.
