Bills vs. Dolphins Thursday Night Football Live Updates: Josh Allen and Tua Tagovailoa face off in AFC East playoff contender clash

The Buffalo Bills and Miami Dolphins kick off the second week of the NFL season tonight in Miami Gardens. Both teams are gunning for the AFC East title and, should they qualify, home-court advantage for at least one round of the playoffs. This early-season clash is important. Both teams made the playoffs last season and were both eliminated by the eventual Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs – Miami lost in the wild-card round in Kansas City in one of the coldest games in NFL history and Buffalo lost at home the following week.

The Dolphins will be without running back Raheem Mosert (chest), while De’Von Achane is active despite missing several practices because of an ankle injury. That could add pressure on Tagovailoa and the Dolphins’ passing game, led by Tyreek Hill, who is still dealing with the aftermath of his arrest by police before the Week 1 win over Jacksonville. He seemed unfazed by the incident on Sunday, catching five passes for 130 yards and a touchdown.

For the Bills, cornerback Taron Johnson (forearm) and defensive end Dawuane Smoot (toe) were ruled out for the game.
