Big Ed calls off wedding with Liz – without telling her – on the occasion of their 15th separation
“Big” Ed Brown said there was no “anger” left in Liz Woods when she learned in a text message from her apologetic clergyman that her wedding was called off
It seems like it’s over for “Big” Ed Brown and Elizabeth “Liz” Woods…at least that’s what Ed thinks.
The 90 Day Fiancé: And they are happily ever after On Sunday’s episode, the couple prepared to call it quits for the 15th time – Ed later expressed his confidence in the decision.
As Ed reflected on their relationship and recent arguments, he realized that moving to Arkansas had not improved their relationship. Instead, it gave him a new perspective.
An argument over spiced taco pasta was the catalyst for the couple’s latest fight – and this time, Ed says, he won’t apologize. “I think Liz is actually waiting for me to call her and say I’m sorry, like she always has. I call, apologize, OK, and we move on. And that’s how the last 14 breakups have been,” he said on camera.

“What makes this breakup different is that this isn’t about anger. I’m not angry at Liz,” Ed clarified. “I’m just realizing we’re not meant to be together. I’m at a different stage in my life and I realize it’s not going to work – Liz has to live her life and I have to live mine.”
Liz explained her side of the argument in another part of the episode, saying that she went to bed after the argument and when she woke up, Ed was simply “gone.”
“Then yesterday I got a text from our registrar telling me how sorry he was that the wedding was cancelled,” Liz said tearfully. “Ed cancelled our wedding without telling me.”
Since Ed offered no explanation, Liz asked what had changed so quickly that Ed had called off the wedding without a conversation. “The only thing I can think of is that Ed is getting cold feet and never really wanted to get married, because even though we’re getting along better than ever, we still have our problems,” she said.

Liz concluded by saying, “I don’t think I could have advocated for this man any more because he means everything to me.” At the end of the conversation, she called Ed a “coward” and a “weakling” because of his lack of respect and communication.
