Prop Bet #1: Tina Charles over 11.5 rebounds

+102 at FanDuel

The Atlanta Dream have a golden opportunity to move into pole position for the final playoff spot tonight, with Tina Charles facing a tough outing against the struggling Chicago Sky frontcourt.

Charles led the Dream to a must-win overtime victory over the Washington Mystics on Sunday, posting 20 points and 10 rebounds. I expect even better stats from the veteran here.

Charles has grabbed at least 12 rebounds in four of her last six games, and Chicago is vulnerable at the basket without the injured Angel Reese.

Although the Sky scored 88 points last time out, their offense has been ice cold of late, including a 58-point loss to the Mystics. With Atlanta locked in defensively here — since this is essentially a playoff game — I don’t trust Chicago to score consistently.

The Sky only sink 43% of their shots, the second worst in the league, while the Dream have the third most rebounds per game.

Charles is a big reason Atlanta is still in the postseason race, and I predict another strong game.

Prop Bet #2: Nneka Ogwumike over 17.5 points

The Seattle Storm will likely face the Las Vegas Aces in Round 1 and we’ll get a preview of that matchup tonight.

It’s been a turbulent week for the Storm, with Jewell Loyd sidelined by knee soreness and Ezi Magbegor hospitalized with a concussion. Both should be fit for the playoffs, but in the meantime, Nneka Ogwumike is the focus.

Ogwumike will once again be the clear number 1 here and she shone in that role on Sunday against the Los Angeles Sparks, where she scored 23 points on 10 of 16 shots.

I bet Ogwumike’s point streak over the weekend woke her up after an otherwise disappointing month, and she’s looking to make at least 15 basket attempts.

Seattle will look for them early and often to keep up with a potent Las Vegas offense, and in many ways this is a volume game. It also helps that Ogwumike is shooting 41% from downtown this year — a big improvement over 2023.

Prop Bet #3: Kayla McBride under 13.5 points

-114 at FanDuel

The Minnesota Lynx’s balanced offense has been a key driver throughout the year and has allowed Kayla McBride to step into a supporting role.

The high-flying Lynx have Napheesa Collier as their first choice, Bridget Carleton was the leading scorer against the New York Liberty on Sunday and Courtney Williams is thriving as an underrated offensive force, which has left McBride with few scoring opportunities on some nights, including this weekend when she fired just seven shots.

McBride hasn’t hit that number in four of her last five games. She’s still hitting 41% of her threes, but her accuracy has slipped over the last seven games (she’s hit 13 of her last 38 threes).

A fiery Connecticut Sun defense that allows 74 points per game is another reason to go under, as opponents are averaging just 31% of their 3-point shots.
