Bengaluru police have arrested a cafe employee for hiding a phone in the dustbin of a ladies’ restroom to record videos. A customer discovered the phone, which was in airplane mode and recording for two hours.

The incident occurred on Saturday, with the accused employee filming with his phone in the toilet for about two hours.
A customerwho was present at the cafe during the incident shared details on social media, describing how she discovered the phone with the video recording function turned on hidden in the toilet trash can.
“It was in flight mode so it made no noise and carefully hidden in a garbage bag with a hole made in it so only the camera was visible. It quickly emerged that the phone belonged to one of the men working there. The police were called and… action was taken,” she added.

“This was horrifying to watch. I will be vigilant in all the toilets I use from now on, no matter how well known the cafe or restaurant chain is. And I ask all of you to do the same. This is absolutely disgusting,” the customer added.
The management of the coffee shop responded to the incident by saying: “The safety and wellbeing of our customers is always our priority. The coffee shop has a strict zero tolerance policy and the person concerned at the BEL Road store was immediately dismissed with the necessary legal action being taken. is initiated.”

When police reached the cafe, they verified the allegations, arrested the employee and seized his mobile phone. According to authorities, the accused is a resident of Bhadravathi and had been employed at the cafe for some time.
A case has been filed against the man and investigations are underway to determine whether he has recorded similar videos in the past.
