This is the last chance for the reserve players on the Cincinnati Bengals roster to show they belong. Many of the players on the field are fighting for a spot on the Bengals’ roster and any roster in the NFL, as many of them could be included if they are cut after the roster is reduced to 53 men.

You won’t see any starters this week when the Bengals host the Indianapolis Colts. You’ll see guys like Carman Jackson and Jaxson Kirkland fight to prove they belong among the remaining reserves on the offensive line. You’ll see players like quarterback Logan Woodside take this opportunity to show he belongs on a roster, or at least on Cincinnati’s practice squad.

The final preseason game is the culmination of a summer of preparation for countless guys fighting to keep their NFL dreams alive. For many, it’s the end until next summer when they can compete for a spot on another roster, but for the lucky ones, it’s just the beginning of the 2024 NFL season.
