Bengals Panthers What to watch out for

The Bengals look to pick up their first win of the season when they face the Carolina Panthers on Sunday at Bank of America Stadium. The game begins at 1:00 p.m. ET on FOX. You should pay attention to this:

Burrow is approaching his 2,000th attempt

After becoming the seventh-fastest player in NFL history to reach 100 touchdown passes on Monday night against Washington, Joe Burrow is closing in on another milestone this week. He enters Sunday with 1,998 career pass attempts, just two shy of 2,000.

Burrow’s 1,361 career completions are already the second most in NFL history within 2,000. throws by a quarterback, trailing only future Hall of Famer Drew Brees (1,444). He remains the league’s leader in completion percentage (68.1; at least 1,500 attempts), ahead of Brees at 67.7. Burrow is completing 70.9 percent of his passes this season, the second-highest rate in the NFL among all players with at least 100 attempts.

Chase is approaching 4,000 receiving yards

Ja’Marr Chase enters Sunday needing 68 career receiving yards to reach 4,000. With his 49th game, he has a chance to surpass former Pro Bowler AJ Green (50 games) as the fastest Bengal to ever reach that mark.

Chase also could become just the fifth player in the Super Bowl era to have more than 4,000 receiving yards and more than 30 receiving touchdowns in his first 50 games. He would join Green, Odell Beckham Jr., Randy Moss and Jerry Rice.

Chase is coming off his most productive game of the season in Week 3, when he recorded six catches for 118 yards and two touchdowns. It was his 15th career game with over 100 receiving yards, the eighth-most in the NFL since entering the league in 2021. His 41-yard touchdown on the game’s opening drive was his 12th score of 40 or more yards, the second best. the most since 2021, behind only Tyreek Hill (13).
