    BCPS celebrates Fathers Bring Their Child to School Day on Friday, September 27, 2024

    Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) joins the Florida Department of Education’s statewide initiative Fathers Bring Their Children to School DayTo Friday, September 27, 2024The event encourages fathers and father figures to become more involved in the upbringing of their children.

    “This initiative underscores the powerful impact fathers can have when they are involved in their children’s education,” said BCPS Superintendent Dr. Howard Hepburn. “As a lifelong educator, I have witnessed firsthand the positive influence and critical role fathers play in shaping their children’s lives and futures.”

    Studies have shown that students who engage fathers tend to perform better academically, have fewer discipline problems, and develop into more responsible adults. Fathers, stepfathers, grandfathers, uncles, brothers, foster fathers, and other male role models are invited to attend this impactful event.
