“Batman” star Michael Keaton will add his real surname Douglas to his stage name
Michael Keaton’s name is not really Michael Keaton.
The “Batman” star chose a different last name when he became famous.
Keaton landed roles in “Night Shift,” “Mr. Mom,” and “Beetlejuice” in the 1980s before “Batman” made him a superstar in 1989.
“I was leafing through it – I can’t remember if it was a phone book,” Keaton, now 72, recalled in an interview with People magazine. “I must have thought, ‘I don’t know, let me think of something here.’ And I thought, ‘Oh, that sounds reasonable.'”

Keaton wanted to use the hybrid name for the credits of his latest directorial project, “Knox Goes Away,” but “forgot.”
“I said, ‘Hey, just as a heads up, my name is going to be Michael Keaton Douglas.’ And it completely slipped my mind,” he told the outlet. “And I forgot to give them enough time to put it in and create it. But that’s going to happen.”
The actor has a new project called “Goodrich” which is in post-production.
It is unclear whether Keaton will use Michael Keaton Douglas for the credits.

Keaton discovered his talent for entertainment at a young age.
“I was always entertaining. Because when you’re the youngest, you have a built-in audience. And they were receptive,” the “Beetlejuice” actor explained. “I realized I could make people laugh and get them out of trouble or get them into trouble.”
However, the Golden Globe winner only devoted himself to acting after dropping out of Kent State University.

“I never panic,” he said ^ “GQ – The wonderful world of magic”. “If you’re desperate, you’re screwed. Never get desperate. You can get insecure and nervous and say, ‘Wow, boy, I’m not feeling so good right now.’ But if you’re desperate, you’re dead.”
