“Yes, I signed up and said the credits weren’t available and where they should be,” said one NBCLA Facebook user. “I hope they get a solution. I feel sorry for people who need money.”

The website DownDetector reported a dramatic increase in outages on Wednesday morning. The outage tracking website received tens of thousands of outage reports from users by mid-morning.

Issues have also been reported by users in New York, Chicago, Seattle and cities.

Bank of America issued the following statement Wednesday afternoon.

“Some customers today are experiencing issues accessing their account and balance information,” the company said. “These issues are being addressed and are largely resolved. We apologize for any inconvenience.”

According to DownDetector, outage reports dropped to about 3,300 by 1 p.m.

Details about the cause of the breakdown were not known on Wednesday afternoon.
