There’s a sale going on at PlayStation Store. Yes, that’s almost always the case, but this one is a little different. While there are always thousands of games cheaper, with a few heavyweights at the top of the pile, part two of the PlayStation Summer Sale is more focused on pre-purchase than most. Some big games that don’t often get their price slashed are currently available for less on PS4 and PS5, and you have until August 15, 2024 before these games go back to full price.

Topping the PlayStation summer sale pile is Baldur’s Gate 3. Larian’s epic RPG recently celebrated its first birthday, but hasn’t even been on PlayStation for a year due to a staggered release. It’s 20 percent off, bringing the price down from $70 to $55.99. That might not sound like much, but I can’t stress enough how much game you get for that price. A year later, I’m nowhere near finished with it, and I still find things I’ve never read about, let alone seen, every time I play.

Game of the Year or not, Baldur’s Gate 3 isn’t for everyone. Don’t worry, there’s a lot more for less right now. Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, another Game of the Year contender that’s not even a year old yet, is also on sale. Spider-Man 2’s price is even higher than Baldur’s Gate, dropping to under $50. If you’re after superheroes, the Digital Deluxe Edition of Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League, which normally costs $100, is on sale for $29.99. No, that’s not a typo, Rocksteady just really needs more people to play this game.

  Baldur’s Gate 3 is the long-awaited next chapter in the Dungeons & Dragons-based RPG series. Developed by Divinity developer Larian Studios, the game puts you in the middle of a mind flayer invasion of Faerûn, over a century after the events of its predecessor.

  Marvel’s Spider-Man 2

  Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is the sequel to Insomniac Games’ hit PlayStation title and once again follows Peter Parker and Miles Morales as they fight the supervillain threat in New York City – including the fearsome Venom.

Suicide Squad isn’t the only 2024 title on sale. Helldivers 2, the game that came out in February and unexpectedly took both regular Earth and Super Earth by storm, is also available for less. More specifically, the Super Citizen Edition is available for less. The special edition of the Helldivers sequel bundles the game with a premium war bond, extra weapons, and Stratgem Hero, the mini-game on your ship that I can’t play because I bought the regular edition. Don’t do what I did. Buy the Super Citizen Edition. For Super Earth.

  Suit up, Helldiver! We’re still in danger of losing Super Earth, and it’s your job to save it in Helldivers 2. Fight in an eternal war against Terminids and Automatons, and grab the Super Citizen Edition to get a little extra to help you along the way.

  The Last Of Us Part 2 Remastered is not only the best looking version of the sequel updated for PS5, it also includes content cut from the original game and a roguelike mode called No Return.

In addition to everything already mentioned, and among the 4,000 other games on sale, is The Last Of Us Part 2 Remastered. Another 2024 release on PS5 and the ultimate way to play the latest The Last Of Us game reduced to $39.99 until PlayStation’s summer sale ends. Cyberpunk 2077, Red Dead Redemption 2, Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth. I could stay here until the sale ends and list off great games that PlayStation is selling cheaper. If I still haven’t mentioned anything you want, you’re best off checking it out for yourself.
