Avli Hospitality Group will open Pitaki (pea-TAH-key), a quick-service restaurant specializing in Greek street food.
Pitaki, the Greek word for “little cake,” is located in Fulton Market at 950 W. Fulton St.
With an emphasis on simplicity and natural ingredients, the menu features fresh pita wraps, bowls, hearty Greek pies, salads and restaurant-quality desserts available at the counter with limited seating and for takeout.
Pitaki’s menu was created by Avli’s founder Louie Alexakis and Avli’s newly appointed executive chef David Tsirekas. Chef David has worked behind the scenes with the group as a consulting chef since Avli opened in Lincoln Park in 2018 and has helped the group achieve MICHELIN recognition with multiple BIB Gourmands and Guide recommendations over the years.
“We combine chef-created dishes made with high-quality ingredients like Berkshire pork and Wagyu beef with the speed and convenience of fast-casual dining,” says Louie Alexakis, CEO and founder of Avli Hospitality Group. “Pitaki offers guests a more upscale experience than a typical fast-casual restaurant, but still has competitive prices.”
Pitaki will be open daily for lunch and dinner to serve the dense and growing number of office and residential buildings in Fulton Market and the West Loop. There will be a limited number of seating options for on-site dining and will also offer a selection of select Greek specialties, books and merchandise. Pitaki will also offer a catering program.
This is the first of three projects Avli has announced as part of its Fulton Market expansion plan. Additional details on a renovated event space, currently open as Morgan’s on Fulton, as well as a full-service Avli restaurant will be announced later this year.
