AtlantaBraves News: Huascar Ynoa recovers, Chris Sale makes history and more

It was a long road to recovery for Atlanta Braves right-hander Huascar Ynoa, but he has now resumed his rehabilitation process.

After missing all of 2023 due to his recovery from Tommy John, he was ready for 2024 but was quickly sidelined with elbow inflammation. While rehabbing in August, he suffered a shoulder injury and was again sidelined, but he returned to the mound Tuesday night in an appearance with the Gwinnett Stripers.

It was an unfortunate start to his rehab, as he lasted only a third of an inning, allowing five runs on two hits and having three walks.

Ynoa is currently on the Braves’ 60-day injured list and is unlikely to return to the mound in the Major Leagues this season.
