GOAL! Chelsea 1-1 Brighton (Palmer 21)

A terrible mistake from Adam Webster in defense allowed Nicolas Jackson to run free and set up Cole Palmer with a cool finish to equalize for Chelsea. Two avoidable goals.

GOAL! Arsenal 1-0 Leicester (Martinelli 20)

Martinelli makes amends as he turns back Timber’s cut and puts the Gunners in the lead. It had come. Poor marking from Leicester.

Goal in the championship. Wilfried Gnonto shot the ball into the goal from around 16 meters to give Leeds a 1-0 lead against Coventry at Elland Road. It’s the first goal in the 3pm Championship games, although Cardiff have just taken a 1-0 lead against Hull.

15th minute: Arsenal 0-0 Leicester Still, Arsenal and Saka and Martinelli all have chances, with the latter missing a great chance when he shoots over the goal from eight yards out.

A lively start in the Premier League with those early goals for Brentford, Brighton and Palace. Brighton is currently in third place in the live league table.

GOAL! Everton 0-1 Crystal Palace (Geuehi 11)

Everton have taken the lead in recent games, but not here. Wharton’s cross is headed down by Lacroix and Marc Guehi kicks the ball in to find it at the near post.

GOAL! Chelsea 0-1 Brighton (Rutter 7)

A loose free throw from former Brighton midfielder Moises Caceido tackles a teammate and Georginio Rutter collects the ball by nodding over Sanchez. A shocking early goal in the Graham Potter Derby.

5th minute: Arsenal 0-0 Leicester The Gunners up front, as you would expect. They dominate possession, although Leicester almost had a counterattack moment right there.

Brentford have now led in the first minute for three Premier League games in a row. That’s certainly a record, Norris.

GOAL! Brentford 1-0 West Ham (Mbeumo 1)

The quick start specialist Brentford has done it again! Bryan Mbeumo hits the ball home within a minute and West Ham coach Julen Lopetegui is once again in turmoil.

Football League results

Some drama in the first games of the championship. League leaders West Brom fought back from a 2-0 deficit in Sheffield on Wednesday before Anthony Musaba scored the winner for the hosts in the 86th minute. Norwich also won by the odd goal in five in the derby, with Borja Sainz the hat-trick hero. But the first Norwich goal! (see 13.43 BST).

Full-time: Newcastle – Man City 1-1

It’s a point apiece at St James’ Park thanks to Anthony Gordon’s second-half penalty for the hosts. City remain at the top, but my assessment is that Pep Guardiola’s men could end the weekend in fourth place if Arsenal beat Leicester by four goals, Liverpool beat Wolves and Aston Villa win at Ipswich.

Seven minutes of injury time at St. James’ Park where it is still Newcastle – Man City 1:1.

Latest Serie A: Udinese 0-1 Inter

It’s been a bit of a difficult start to the season for champions Inter, but today they took the lead in the first minute through Davide Frattesi in Udinese.

share

Still 1-1 at St James’ Park with 10 minutes to go. For Manchester City, that would be four points that Manchester City would have lost in two games. Those “Without Rodri” stats will no doubt appear again if they don’t win here.

Goals in the championship

Second half goals in all three games. Blackburn are 2-0 ahead QPR after goals from Lewis Travis and Danny Batth; Josh Maja scored a goal West Bromwho is now behind 1:2 Sheffield Wednesday; and Borja Sainz scored his second goal of the day Norwich to give the Canaries the lead again after Craig Forsyth equalized Derby.

More early kickoff news

But not good news for Deano’s former club Bradfordwho is behind 1:2 Harrogate in a North vs West Yorkshire derby. In the other League Two game, which started early, Walsall led Colchester 1-0. We are in the second half of two games in League One and that is the case at the moment Crawley 0-1 Bolton And Reading 1:1 Huddersfield.

Halftimes of the championship

It was a difficult first phase for league leaders West Brom, who trailed 2-0 in Sheffield on Wednesday after an own goal from Darnell Furlong (9) and a goal from Josh Windass (23) for the hosts. I was driving past a pub in Bradford a few days ago and saw an advert for an evening with Dean Windass. Good times for the Windass clan.

  • Blackburn 0-0 QPR

  • Derby 0-1 Norwich

  • Sheff Wed 2-0 West Brom

preamble

While the top looks very familiar, the Premier League table looks a little unusual this season with six teams still having a zero in the win column. Three of those teams – Leicester, Crystal Palace and Everton – are in action at 3pm. Leicester are all set to prevail as they play away at Arsenal while the other two, Everton and Palace, meet at Goodison. Then draw that in for a draw. Wolves, bottom of the table, host Liverpool in the 5.30pm game, so there’s a good chance we’ll end today with six teams still waiting for their first win.

At the other end of the table, Arsenal, Brighton and Nottingham Forest all go into their 3pm games with an unbeaten record in the top flight.

Elsewhere, Aberdeen can take over the top of the SPL for a few hours while Celtic are in action later in the day. And even if I don’t have it on the clock, please note that Bayern vs. Leverkusen in the Bundesliga starts at 5:30 p.m.

These are our featured games, all kick-offs are at 3pm unless otherwise stated.

Half time: Newcastle – Manchester City 0:1

It was a hard-fought first 45 minutes at St James’ Park, but City went ahead after a goal from Josko Gvardiol ten minutes before half-time. Nice build-up play from Jack Grealish and a classy finish from the Croatian.
