WEST POINT, NY — — Bryson Daily scored three touchdowns and threw for two more to lead Army to a 37-14 victory over Rice on Saturday.

Daily had already scored two runs and thrown two passes by halftime, accounting for 207 of Army’s 272 yards of first-half offense. The Black Knights (3-0, 2-0 American) led the nation in rushing with 390 yards per game and finished with 288 yards against Rice.

Daily jumped over the line on fourth down for a 2-yard touchdown to take a 21-0 lead, capping a drive that began with a blocked field goal. Andon Thomas’ interception at the 50 led to Daily’s 17-yard touchdown pass to Casey Reynolds for a 28-0 halftime lead.

Daily ran for 145 yards and threw for 107 yards. He found Noah Short deep in the middle, who scored the first points of the game with a 41-yard touchdown.

Army has won seven in a row since last season.

EJ Warner threw 28 of 43 passes for 235 yards for the Owls (1-3, 0-1), scoring two touchdowns and two interceptions. Matt Sykes and Christian Francisco caught the touchdowns. The Owls managed just one run of 41 yards.
