Armie Hammer revealed why he took one last trip with his truck.

Armie Hammer, who has returned to Los Angeles, has announced that he has to sell his beloved truck due to rising gas prices. In an Instagram video, Hammer revealed that he now has a new apartment in Los Angeles and has taken his beloved truck on one last road trip. The destination is Carmax.

“I’ve been back in LA for a couple of weeks now. This is my truck. I bought it for myself as a Christmas present in 2017 because I’ve had pickups for a long time and I loved this truck very much,” the disgraced actor said of the black vehicle, which can be seen in a Carmax parking lot.

“This is not an ad for Carmax,” said the Call Me by Your Name actor. “This is because I’m selling my truck.”

“Since I’ve been back in LA, I’ve put about four or five hundred dollars worth of gas in it, and I can’t afford it anymore. I can’t afford the gas anymore,” he added.

“I start my birthday in a new car, in a new apartment, in a new life in Los Angeles”

Hammer added that he has an emotional attachment to the truck as he has taken it “camping and across the country and on long road trips several times.” He also revealed that this is the truck he used to bring his children home from the hospital after they were born.

“But you know what? That’s OK,” Hammer said. “That’s OK. I have a new car. It’s tiny. It’s a hybrid. I’ll probably spend about $10 a month on gas on it and that’s it.”

“So I have to clean out all this stuff, you know, a lot of crap. But that’s okay,” he added.

Hammer said his decision to sell the truck was related to his 38th birthday on Wednesday, Aug. 28. “I’ll be starting my birthday in a new car, a new apartment and a new life in Los Angeles,” he said.

The Death on the Nile actor added that his children are “not happy” about him selling the truck because they have different memories associated with it. But two things Hammer wants to focus on now are: “Parking will be easier and gas will be cheaper.”
