Arkansas man seriously injured after pickup truck gets stuck under semi-trailer

WARRENSBURG, Missouri (KCTV) — An Arkansas man suffered life-threatening injuries after his pickup truck became stuck under a semi-truck and was dragged onto a road in Warrensburg.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol states that just after 5 a.m. on Wednesday, August 28, emergency personnel from the Pathways Community Behavioral facility in Warrensburg were called to the area of ​​Devasher Road near Highway 50 for a report of a two-vehicle collision.

When emergency responders arrived, they found Dorvil Jackenson, 40, of Linden, New Jersey, slowing his 2020 Freightliner Cascadia to turn south onto Devasher Road.

According to state troopers, Austin J. Neff, 30, of Poinsett, Arkansas, was driving his 2024 Chevrolet Silverado behind Jackenson’s semi-trailer, but did not brake in time and struck him.

Emergency crews found Neff’s pickup truck stuck under the semi’s trailer. The semi pulled the pickup onto Devasher Road before Jackenson stopped in the northbound lane.

According to emergency responders, Neff was taken to Research Medical Center in Kansas City with life-threatening injuries. He was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.

MSHP determined that Jackenson survived the crash without injuries and was wearing a seat belt at the time.
