Apparently human leg found near the famous Jane’s Carousel, second spooky discovery at the same spot on New York Harbor within 2 days: Police
A human bone washed up near the famous Jane’s Carousel on the waterfront in Downtown Brooklyn early Wednesday – two days after a park worker discovered more skeletal remains there, police said.
The bone – described as a human leg or part of it – was discovered by police officers around 12:20 a.m. on the banks of the East River on Water Street in DUMBO while responding to a 911 call, authorities said.
The horrifying discovery followed the discovery of a skull and bones in the same area on Monday morning, police said.
Those remains, discovered by a city park ranger, were covered with clothing, sources said.
According to sources, a pair of boots was also found nearby.
The NYPD said it was too early to determine whether there was a connection between the two gruesome discoveries.
The city coroner’s office is investigating.
