HASTINGS, Nebraska (KSNB) – After a pleasantly mild Labor Day, the holiday is set to be an equally beautiful evening as skies will be mostly clear and temperatures will range from 70 to 77 degrees F. Skies will remain clear at night as well, with lows dropping back down to 50 degrees F tonight.
The weather will remain calm until Wednesday as a little more heat builds up ahead of a cold front. Highs on Tuesday will reach 27 degrees, and in the northwest and west of the region even 32 degrees. More heat is expected in northwest Nebraska. Highs on Wednesday will mostly be between 27 and 32 degrees.
A cold front will move south through the area Wednesday night into Thursday. This will bring rain chances back to the area and bring a big drop in temperatures late next week. Highs on Thursday will be mostly around 21 degrees. Highs on Friday will be mostly between 25 and 29 degrees. Highs on Saturday will be mostly around 21 degrees. There is a very slight chance of rain on Friday and Saturday, but it looks unlikely at this time. A further warming trend is expected after next weekend, with mostly dry weather continuing.
