Tips to stay cool

    • Children’s pool
    • Lotions in the fridge
    • Eating spicy food in the basement (or on the floor) while wearing a wet shirt and listening to the sound of rain from your machine
    • Make sure the ceiling fans run counterclockwise
    • Wet paper towels. Fold into ankle and wrist cuffs. Freeze. Wear. Repeat.
    • Build a DIY air conditioner
    • Build a mini cold air fan
    • Build an “evaporative cooler for instant heat relief”
    • Build a barricade of fans and ice cubes
    • Go to an air-conditioned store and browse for as long as possible (Target is a good option for this).
    • Close all curtains, preferably heat-absorbing ones
    • Or open all windows, depending on the wind situation
    • Take a cool bath or shower twice a day
    • Wash your bedding before bed, but don’t dry it – put it on your bed damp (assuming you’re dealing with dry heat)
    • Portable air conditioner
