Anna Delvey says she will take “nothing” with her from “Dancing With the Stars”

Anna Delvey may have left its mark on Dancing with the starsbut it doesn’t seem to have made much of an impression on her.

Delvey, 33, and her partner, Ezra Sosa23, was eliminated, together with Tori Spelling And Pasha Pashkov during the episode of the ABC reality series on Tuesday, September 24. As co-host Julianne Hough When asked what Delvey would take away from this experience, Delvey replied, “Nothing.”

“There you have it, absolutely nothing,” replied the 36-year-old Hough, as Sosa, who made his debut as DWTS Professional this season, shook his head and smiled.

Alfonso Ribeiro intervened: “You were having fun, stop it.”

Delvey’s reaction to her elimination was in stark contrast to Spelling, who described her as DWTS jTourney “unbelievable”.

“I’m just going to stay here. Sorry, but you just have to have me,” joked Spelling, 51.

At the beginning of the episode, Delvey talked about how she was “so upset” when she read comments about herself online following the season 33 premiere. Delvey’s casting on the show was controversial due to her criminal past and ongoing deportation proceedings.

The so-called “Fake Heiress” was found guilty of attempted grand larceny, second-degree theft and theft of services in 2019 and sentenced to four to 12 years in prison. She was released on parole in March 2021 before being taken into the custody of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) for overstaying her visa. She had to get permission from ICE to take part in the DWTS.

Despite its turbulent past DWTS Judge Carrie Ann Inaba previously urged viewers to give Delvey a chance.

“When you came on the dance floor, the energy in that room changed,” Inaba, 56, told Delvey during the first episode. “I can imagine that’s scary for you. I’m not for or against what you did, but this is about your dancing, so let’s all please give her that space.”

In Tuesday’s episode Julia Fox stopped by Delvey and Sosa’s rehearsal to give Delvey a pep talk.

“When you’re young, you might do things that you’re ashamed of later,” said Fox, 34. “But it all happened to you so publicly, so it’s only right that we witness your moment now.”

Fox said on camera that it was hard for her to see people being “so mean” to Delvey online.

“If it were their sister or their mother, they would all be fighting for a second chance,” said the Raw gemstones said the actress. “Although Anna is putting up this tough shell, it’s obviously a defense mechanism.”

Before Delvey’s DWTS journey came to an end, the judges saw untapped potential in her. After her and Sosa’s quickstep to “Suddenly I See” by KT Tunstall On Tuesday, Inaba told Delvey she wanted to see her “embrace” the experience “more fully” in order to reach her full potential. Derek Hough noted that he would have liked “a little more energy” from Delvey, but complimented her on her “beautiful turns.”

Although the judges felt Delvey had more to offer, her comment that she would take “nothing” from the ballroom is not exactly surprising. Earlier this month, she said Weekly entertainment that winning the mirror ball trophy would “really mean nothing” to her.

“I don’t know,” Delvey continued. “It would be great.”

Dancing with the stars airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET simultaneously on ABC and Disney+. There will be no new episode on Tuesday, October 1.
