Anderson Announces 2024-25 Women’s Golf Schedule – University of South Carolina Athletics

COLUMBIA, SC – Head coach Kalen Anderson announced her team’s 2024-25 schedule on Monday. The Gamecocks will compete in eight regular season tournaments before beginning postseason play in April.

Expectations remain high for Anderson and her team, as all six players return from last season’s team that won four times and finished the season ranked No. 7 nationally, according to Clippd. Anderson was named SEC Coach of the Year for the fourth time last spring. It was her third time in the last four seasons winning the award. All-Americans Hannah Darling and Louise Rydqvist return for their final seasons, looking to cement their legacies in Garnet and Black.

“I am incredibly excited for the 2024-25 season to begin,” said Anderson. “We look forward to competing against strong fields at elite venues all season long.”

Carolina will open the season again at the ANNIKA Intercollegiate from September 9-11. It will be the 10thth appearance in the prestigious fall event that each year features one of the best fields in women’s college golf. The Gamecocks are the defending champions, having won the tournament three times (2014, 2021, 2023).

Carolina then returns to the Mason Rudolph Championship (Sept. 22-24) and the Windy Citty Collegiate Classic (Sept. 30-Oct. 1), and the fall ends with the Jackson T. Stephens Cup (Oct. 21-23) at Oklahoma City Country Club. It is the team’s fourth consecutive appearance in the Stephens Cup which features six of the best women’s and men’s programs in the country each fall. Tickets for this year’s tournament are now on sale and can be purchased at Click here.

The Gamecocks will head west again Feb. 2-4 to open the spring and defend the team’s title at the Therese Hession Regional Challenge. Carolina will then head south to Florida Feb. 16-18 when the team returns to the Moon Golf Invitational.

The 13th The 20th edition of the biggest show in women’s college golf, the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate, will take place March 3-5. The Gamecocks host the annual event in partnership with the Long Cove Club and Darius Rucker. It has quickly become the premier spring event in the country and Golf Channel has covered it live for three days for the past three seasons.

To conclude the regular season, the team will once again host the Old Barnwell Derby Match Play on March 17 and 18. The SEC Championship will be held for the second consecutive year at Pelican Golf Club outside Tampa on April 14-18.

The NCAA Regionals will be held May 5-7 at six sites across the country. The top five teams at each site will advance to the NCAA Championships May 16-21, which will be played for the second consecutive year at the Omni La Costa in Carlsbad, Calif. The Gamecocks are seeking their fifth consecutive NCAA Championship appearance.
