American Airlines offers luxury shuttle service between ILG and PHL – NBC10 Philadelphia

A new way to travel from Wilmington to Philadelphia will soon be available this fall.

On Wednesday, American Airlines announced a new “Taram-to-Taram” luxury bus service connecting Wilmington Airport (ILG) to Philadelphia International Airport (PHL), scheduled to begin operations on October 7.

The new service allows passengers to clear security at ILG, board coach at ILG departure gates, arrive at a secure gate at PHL’s Terminal F and proceed to their connecting flight.

Those flying to Philadelphia and then continuing on to Wilmington can board the coach without leaving the security area. Checked baggage is automatically transported to the ILG.

Each coach is handicapped accessible and equipped with 35 premium leather seats with plenty of legroom, free Wi-Fi, in-seat power sockets and an on-board toilet.

“We are very pleased to have American Airlines’ landline service added to ILG’s offerings,” said Thomas J. Cook, Executive Director of the Delaware River and Bay Authority. “At Wilmington Airport – ILG, we pride ourselves on providing our customers with a fast, affordable, seamless and convenient hometown airport experience. For those looking for quality service without the hassle of a big city airport with parking, check-in or security screening, I encourage you to try American Airlines’ new service at ILG!”

The innovative service starts with six round-trip flights daily between ILG and PHL.

If you would like to use this service, you can book the coach at the same time as booking your flight on aa.com by searching for ILG to the origin or destination.
