Late Night with the Devil. Image: Maslow Entertainment/ Umbrella Entertainment.

Film (2023). October 31, 1977. Jack Delroy’s syndicated talk show Night owls has long been a loyal companion to insomniacs across the country, but a year after the tragic death of Jack’s wife, ratings have plummeted. Desperate to change his fate, Jack plans a Halloween special like no other, unaware that in doing so he is unleashing evil into the living rooms of America. With David Dastmalchian (Oppenheimer) and Laura Gordon (Invoice).

From ScreenHub:

The ensemble is damn good, with Dastmalchian in top form. Incredibly funny stuff, including a direct quote from The Exorcist played for laughs when chaos ensues, this is sure to be a cult classic. The US box office has already gone ablaze, taking in $2.8 million in its opening weekend, a tidy sum for an owl-hooting treat that comes out on top with its low-fi monster mash, practical carnage, ugly special effects and out-of-control theremin solo.

Review of “Late Night with the Devil”: Insanely funny horror
