Almost normal temperatures for most of the week

WEATHER HISTORY: A large cell of high pressure will settle over the Midwest this weekend, giving us fairly sunny skies through Wednesday. Last week’s cold snap is over, and temperatures will return to normal. That means highs around 77. Highs around 77 on Sunday may produce some convective sun showers in the afternoon, but these should be erratic and infrequent. That pattern will repeat on Monday. A greater chance of showers and storms will come out of the west midweek as the high weakens. Then lows will have free rein and can cloud us over for a few days.

SUNDAY: Sunday will be mostly sunny, but keep in mind that there may be brief sunny showers in the afternoon due to the heat of the day. The high temperature will be around 77 degrees. The wind will be from the northwest at 5-15 mph.

MONDAY: The high will remain mostly sunny with a 20% chance of sunny showers in the afternoon. The morning low will be 55. The high should reach 78. The wind will be from the northwest at 5-10 mph.

TUESDAY: Another sunny day is ahead. The morning low is 58. The afternoon high is 80. The wind will be from the south at 5-10 mph.

COMING THIS WEEK: Low pressure will gain the upper hand overnight into Wednesday, bringing rain showers. On Thursday, this could turn into thunderstorms. A few more thunderstorms could develop on Friday and Saturday before the skies slowly clear up again.
