The Alexander Mountain Firewhich burned nearly 4,000 hectares of land at its peak, has now been 100 percent contained, according to the US Forest Service.

The fire broke out west of Loveland on July 29, prompting multiple mandatory and voluntary evacuations and destroying 28 homes and 21 other structures since the outbreak. The area of ​​the fire was mapped before it was contained.

“The Forest Service wants to acknowledge both the hard work and the stress and difficulties of the last three weeks,” said Jason Sieg of the U.S. Forest Service. “There are members of the Cedar Park community who have lost property and homes, and we, along with our community partners and local agencies, will support them as best we can.”

The fire department is currently monitoring the fire area to determine if any new fires occur.

Investigators say The fire was caused by humans and are now investigating the exact cause and whether it was placed intentionally.
