Cristiano Ronaldo will be hoping for his first win of this AFC Champions League Elite (ACL Elite) season when his side host Al Nassr at the King Saud University Stadium in Riyadh on Monday.

Nassr started its ACL Elite season with a 1-1 draw against Iraqi side Al Shorta, but has since won all of its next three games. Captain Ronaldo also appeared to be in good form, scoring twice in three games and will be hoping to continue his form in Asia.

Ronaldo is the top goalscorer in the UEFA Champions League (UCL) with 140 goals and was congratulated by UEFA for his success in the UCL draw this season.

However, he has not been able to repeat a similar performance with Al Nassr, as the team reached the quarter-finals last season, losing 3-1 on penalties to Al Ain of the United Arab Emirates.

The Portuguese legend missed his team’s first game in this edition of the renamed ACL Elite tournament due to a viral infection and will now be eagerly awaiting a home game in Saudi Arabia.

Al Rayyan, on the other hand, have struggled for form this season with just two wins in seven games and lost 3-1 to Saudi champions Al Hilal in their first Champions League game.

Since then, his form has continued to plummet with two defeats and four goals conceded in the Qatar Stars League.
