At practice on Tuesday, there were not one, not two, but three welcome sights for the 49ers.

Wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk, running back Christian McCaffrey and left tackle Trent Williams were all present at the practice. However, only Aiyuk and McCaffrey participated, while Williams watched from the sidelines as the final details of his contract had yet to be worked out.

Aiyuk practiced with the team for the first time since last season after contract negotiations took place throughout the spring and summer before the two sides agreed to a four-year, $120 million deal last week, ending months of back-and-forth.

McCaffrey missed most of training camp and all three preseason games after suffering a calf strain in early August, but has been with the team daily and has been seen rehabbing off the field in recent weeks.

Williams and the 49ers still had to work out some minor details before the All-Pro could sign his revised contract and return to practice, but his appearance at the facility and on the field certainly boded well that he would soon join his teammates.
