What would a witch be without her dark magical secrets? Marvels Agatha all the time Miniseries has a front and center. The lead role for Kathryn Hahn’s devilish Agatha Harkness, last seen in 2021 WandaVisionshows a brave young wannabe witch, initially only as a “teen”, played by Heart StopperThis is Joe Locke.

The character’s real name has not yet been revealed: as of tonight’s premiere episodes, there is an apparent magical effect preventing him from giving it away. He is listed as “Teen” in the credits and referred to as “Teen” on the show. And the cast and crew have kept his identity a secret.

But if you know anything about Scarlet Witch from the Marvel Comics, Marvel magic, or the teen superheroes in this setting, you’ve got a pretty good idea. If Locke wasn’t playing Billy Kaplan, aka Wicca, this would be extraordinarily odd.

Billy is the teenage superhero from Marvel Comics known as the Wiccan or Demiurge. He is a frequent member of the Young Avengers when that team is together and having adventures. He has innate magical powers that allow him to warp reality simply by expressing what he wants to happen and focusing on that intention. And he has a magical destiny to grow into: it has been prophesied that he will one day become so powerful that he can rewrite the laws of magic themselves.

This could not appear Teen’s true identity is clear. For now, all we know is that he’s a teenager who has a boyfriend and wants to be a witch, and that, despite being a bit dimwitted, he’s strong enough to break the Scarlet Witch’s illusion around Agatha. Oh, and whenever he tries to say his name or explain who he is, Agatha only hears nonsense or muffled sounds. None of what’s in Agatha So far, this contradicts the possibility that Teen is an original character who is not new to any Marvel timeline.

But there is a tonne of evidence that suggests he is Wiccan. For one thing, Locke is a spitting image of the character design. Skinny teenager, floppy dark hair. Check.

For another, Billy is a character related to Scarlet Witch, and this is a show related to Scarlet Witch. In the comics, Billy is – it’s more complicated, but don’t worry – one of Scarlet Witch’s long-lost twin sons. Her children, Billy and Tommy (or at least illusions of them), are already in WandaVision and in the visited alternative universes in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Teen could be the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s way of integrating Billy into the main timeline.

We also know that Teen has a boyfriend: Wiccan is one of Marvel’s most famous queer characters. He and his friend Teddy (the superhero known as the Hulkling; not related to the Hulk) have been together in comics for nearly two decades.

To sum it up: Billy and Teen are both witches who have certain powers of magic, they both look alike, they are both connected to the Scarlet Witch, and they are both queer. Agatha all the time hasn’t revealed anything that would stop Teen from being an original character, but it also hasn’t revealed anything that would stop him from being the Marvel Cinematic Universe version of Billy.
