Additional Pain: Angels 4, White Sox 3 (13 innings)

For some reason, Andrew Vaughn’s home run that led to the first score in the game didn’t hold. That fact wasn’t helped by the White Sox hitting 5-for-40 with five singles against mediocre Angels pitchers in all other at-bats of the game. It was 1-for-13 with RISP performance, with 10 Ks and 11 left-on-base. The offense, which seemed to have awakened from sleep in the final two weeks of the season, has settled back down for a nap.
