Adam Sandler was spotted on the set of ‘Happy Gilmore 2’ lugging golf clubs out of a house in a bathrobe | Golf news and tour information
The weather is getting cooler, the leaves are changing, and Happy Gilmore is officially back. It’s a great time to be alive. A few weeks ago, production began on Netflix’s Happy Gilmore 2, with much of the filming set to take place in New Jersey. Now, we’ve caught our first glimpse of the long-awaited sequel thanks to TikTok user Ariana Hailand, who opened her front door this week to find Adam Sandler lugging a set of golf clubs out of a nearby house in his bathrobe. Check it out.
If that thought doesn’t bring tears to your eyes as a golf fan in your 30s, then we’re just not the same anymore. Golf fans have been waiting 28 years (and counting) for a Gilmore-McGavin rematch, and just when it seemed like all hope was lost, we got our wish. It’s almost as surreal as when College Gameday showed up at the Masters.
Of course, it’s not worth waiting for all the sequels – the less said about Caddyshack 2 the better – but what little we’ve seen of Happy Gilmore 2 seems to stay true to the endearingly wacky spirit of the original. It even looks like they’ve returned to Grandma Gilmore’s house. How authentic is that?
We don’t have an exact release date for Happy Gilmore 2 yet, but we’ll be sure to keep you updated with any news. In the meantime, we’re keeping our fingers crossed for another cameo from Lee Trevino…
