According to a report, the Chiefs star’s mother is accused of stealing from a neighbor

Sunday, September 29, apparently wasn’t the best day for Rashee Rice’s family.

Not only did the Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver suffer a knee injury that forced him to ride off on a cart, which could put him out of action for an extended period of time, his mother, Marsha Kearney, was also accused of stealing a package from the front Late Sunday at a neighbor’s apartment, TMZ reported Wednesday.

TMZ included in its story so-called Ring camera footage that shows a woman, reportedly Marsha Kearney, wearing a “Momma Rice” No. 4 jersey, walking past a door and then going back to grab something from which a Texas resident said was Chappell Roan records. TMZ said local police in Texas – it’s unclear which city exactly – confirmed to the outlet that a report had been filed.

The video shows the woman apparently trying to throw the package out of view of the camera before walking away with something in her hand around 7:49 p.m. ET.

According to TMZ: We’re told the owner had purchased two limited-edition Chappell Roan vinyls from Urban Outfitters…and had tried to resolve the issue with Kearney, Rice and their apartment complex leasing office in hopes of getting the pieces back – to no avail .

Rice, a 24-year-old second-year wide receiver, has 288 yards receiving and scored two touchdowns for the 4-0 Chiefs this season. In his rookie season, he rushed for 938 yards and seven touchdowns and finished sixth in the Rookie of the Year voting.
