Kilmarnock have lost their first two Scottish Premiership games of the 2024–25 season by an aggregate score of 0-7 (0-4 against Celtic, 0-3 against St Johnstone); the only team to have made a worse pointless start to the competition after two games this century is Hamilton Academical in the 2010–11 season (minus eight goals difference).

Jamie McGrath has been directly involved in five goals in his last three Scottish Premiership appearances (three goals, two assists). He has scored a goal and provided an assist in each of Aberdeen’s two league games this season. The last player to score and provide an assist in three consecutive games in the competition was Celtic’s Anthony Stokes in May 2014.
