ABC whistleblower who claimed Trump-Harris debate was ‘rigged’ dies? MAGA claim surfaced

KEY HIGHLIGHTS

  • Greene’s unconfirmed claim: Marjorie Taylor Greene’s announcement about the death of a whistleblower sparked controversy online, although no reputable source supports her claim.
  • Identity remains unclear: The identity of the whistleblower has not been confirmed, making it difficult to independently verify claims about his death.
  • Speculation fueled by dubious sources: Reports from unreliable platforms and social media users contributed to the spread of conspiracy theories without any official evidence or confirmation of the incident.

On Sunday, US Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene On her X profile (formerly Twitter), Greene announced that a self-proclaimed whistleblower who had previously claimed the 2024 ABC debate between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump was rigged had allegedly died in a car crash. Greene’s September 15 tweet fueled speculation and controversy, although no credible sources have yet confirmed the report. Times Now is unable to verify the authenticity of MTG’s claim and the screenshots of the alleged affidavit.

Greene’s claims spark online debate

“The ABC Whistleblower who claimed Kamala Harris was asked questions before the debate has died in a car crash, according to news reports,” Greene tweeted. However, she did not provide links to any trusted or reputable news sites in her message. The revelation sparked a flurry of activity on social media, with some people investigating the matter and others spreading conspiracy theories despite the lack of reliable evidence.

Multiple searches across platforms failed to produce conclusive evidence to support Greene’s claim. Instead, consumers were forced to search through strange websites and other social media messages. Twitter user @RetroCoast provided some of the first statements about the alleged whistleblower’s death on September 13. “Breaking: The ABC News Whistleblower who revealed that Kamala Harris received the debate questions in advance DIED in a car accident,” the user wrote. They claimed the accident occurred early in the morning of September 13 outside of Bethesda, Maryland.

No confirmed identity of the whistleblower

Greene and other online users have been unable to provide any solid evidence of the alleged whistleblower’s death. In addition, the person’s name is still unknown, making it more difficult to independently confirm these allegations. It is impossible to determine whether the whistleblower is still alive without knowing his identity.

Although some users continued to spread rumors, neither the government nor the mainstream media released any information about the alleged incident. Due to the lack of evidence, many internet conversations became speculative and gave rise to numerous conspiracy theories.

Unreliable sources cited

Some users pointed to a report from an obscure website called CountyLocalNews.com that linked to a WordPress blog. The article, titled “ABC News whistleblower in Kamala Harris debate scandal dies in Maryland crash,” was published on September 13 but had no author name and was credited only as “By Admin.” The report’s findings, which said the whistleblower died in a car crash outside Bethesda, were consistent with what Greene had said. But the website’s legitimacy and the opacity of the source raised doubts about the accuracy of the material.

X-User confirms intention to publish affidavit

Amid the rumours, another social media user, @DocNetyoutube, who had previously claimed to provide a platform for the alleged whistleblower, commented on the situation, stating, “I am aware of news reports that the ABC whistleblower died in a car accident.” The user added that he was being served with legal documents likely related to the case. Reiterating his intention to release an affidavit, he said, “The affidavit will be released come what may. To my knowledge, the whistleblower was not killed, but I have not spoken to him since yesterday morning.”

Despite the ongoing rumors, @DocNetyoutube insisted that they had not confirmed the whistleblower’s death and were unclear about his current status. They promised to release the affidavit and even offered to delete certain sections if necessary.

No official confirmation

There is no official confirmation of the death of the alleged ABC whistleblower. The allegations on social media, including those by Greene and other users, remain unsubstantiated. The story is questionable as there are no reliable news reports or impartial investigations into the incident.
