Antonio Pierce took the podium on Friday and within moments sent a shockwave through oddsmakers. All in one word: OUT.

Pierce was asked about the playing status of several Raiders starters for Sunday’s game against the Browns. His answer every time?…

Maxx Crosby? OUT OF

Davante Adams? OUT OF

Michael Mayer? OUT OF

Divine Deablo? OUT OF

Thayer Munford? OUT OF

The Raiders opened this week as two-point favorites over the Browns. And with Pierce’s announcement, oddsmakers thought the Browns had a 1.5-point advantage.

The week began with both teams missing their best players and elite edge rushers. While Crosby was dealing with an ankle injury, he was expected to play like he always has. But in the end he will miss the first game of his career.

Meanwhile, the Browns started the week with Myles Garrett missing practice, only to bring him back the next day, and they expect him to play on Sunday.

Add Davantes’ sudden hamstring injury and scratch, and you’ve got your 3.5-point swing.
