Some people wait their whole lives to find the person to whom they want to say those two words: “I do.”
In America, a wedding ring is worn on the left ring finger to symbolize the union of two souls. This ring is meant to last forever and serve as a symbol of undying love for one’s partner.
One man, however, was devastated when he realized that he had lost his wedding ring while helping his wife in an emergency situation during child birth.
Rebecca and Danya Mahota were together when they noticed that Rebecca had gone into labor, so they jumped in the car and drove to the hospital.
They didn’t make it.
Danya documented the whole experience, panic and everything, during the trip and talked to his unborn baby so that one day they could watch the video and see how he or she came into the world.
“Mommy is on her way to the hospital and is in a lot of pain because of you,” he says to his baby on the way.
As Mom laughs, she realizes that time is not on their side and that they may not make it to the hospital.
They had to stop so the father could deliver the baby. Watch it below:
After the chaos is over, the video suddenly pans to Rebecca holding her newborn child as they finally make their way to the hospital, probably full of joy but also a little shocked.
At some point, Danya noticed that his wedding ring had slipped off his finger while he was helping his wife give birth.
Here the story takes an unexpected turn: Danya was convinced that the ring must have slipped and landed somewhere on the side of the road, where it gave birth to the couple’s child.
Two days after the birth, Danya got a metal detector and went back to the scene of the accident – to the side of the road. Fortunately, he found his ring.
It’s not about the value of the ring, but about the feeling it represents.
