“I’m not too worried about it”

CINCINNATI — Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow still has one puzzle to solve as he recovers from his wrist before Sunday’s Cincinnati games: landing after a hit.

The star of the franchise told us how he thinks it will go.

“I don’t think that’s really possible,” Burrow said of preparing for Sunday’s blows. “I trust the work I’ve done and I know the ligament is strong enough at this point to take that kind of blow. So I’m not too worried.”

Burrow could move into MVP tier this season as he is healthier than he has been since his rookie season. He confirmed that level on Wednesday but acknowledged it is still a process.

“I feel healthy, I feel physically strong and I’m going to be able to go out there and do what I need to do,” Burrow said Wednesday. “But you know, when you get injuries like that, it’s a season-long process. Just like with the knee, there’s going to be days when you feel good, days when you don’t, and then you get better as the season goes on.”

That process included a full training camp (albeit without Ja’Marr Chase during team periods), setting up an interesting rest of 2024 for a healthy Burrow and the Bengals.
