“Dancing With The Stars” pro Witney Carson returns for season 33

Mirrorball champion Witney Carson returns to Dancing with the stars for the upcoming 33rd season.

Carson announced the news on Thursday in a video message on Good morning, America.

“Hi guys, this is Whitney Carson. I’m very happy to announce that I’m coming back to Dancing with the stars for season 33,” she said in the video. “Just wait until you hear who my partner is. He’s going to blow your mind. We are so ready to get the Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy.”

Carson took part for the first time in Dancing with the stars in season 18 with celebrity partner Cody Simpson. In the following season, she returned and won the Mirrorball trophy with her celebrity partner Alfonso Ribeiro (The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air)who is now co-host of the ABC series.

She most recently competed in ballroom dancing with her celebrity partner Wayne Brady in season 31, after serving as a coach on the show from seasons 20 to 28.

The cast of season 33 Dancing with the stars will be announced exclusively on GMA on September 4th.

Albeiro and Julianne Hough return as co-hosts, with Bruno Tonioli, Carrie Ann Inaba and Derek Hough on the judging panel.

Dancing with the stars Season 33 premieres Tuesday, September 17 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC and Disney+ and will stream on Hulu the next day.
