While September marks the start of the NFL season across the United States, it also represents another significant occasion in the gambling industry and for our top sportsbooks.

September is Responsible Gaming Education Month (RGEM) and in recognition of this initiative, online gaming operator Hard Rock Bet has issued a press release urging its customers to gamble responsibly.

The release introduces four key responsible gaming tools, each with a 30-second demo video showing how to use the tool through the Hard Rock Bet app after signing up with a Hard Rock Bet promo code. All tools are available through the Responsible Gaming tab, accessible at the bottom of the app’s homepage.

The tools

The first tool introduced is deposit limits. Players can set daily, weekly and monthly deposit limits to control the amount they deposit into their account. Once the limit is set, the customer cannot increase it until the end of the 24 hours, week or month. Players must also keep in mind that setting a limit of $0 will block all deposits until the time frame has expired.

Hard Rock Bet then recommends betting limits to help players keep their spending under control. They differ from deposit limits in that they focus on the customer’s spending, not just what they have deposited into their account.

The third feature, Session Limits, allows users to manage the time they spend playing games through the Hard Rock Bet app. Players can set a session duration starting from one hour, and once the time is up, the app will automatically log them out.

Finally, Hard Rock mentions timeouts. This tool offers customers the option to temporarily close their accounts until they are ready to return. Players can still log in to withdraw funds and view their betting history. The press release also encourages users to regularly check the history tab to monitor their gambling habits.
