WWE Superstar Odyssey Jones removed from roster due to domestic violence allegations

WWE Superstar Omari Jahi Palmer, better known by his ring name Odyssey Jones, has been removed from the company’s roster due to allegations of domestic violence.

This news comes after Palmer was quietly removed from the roster section of the WWE website.

There was initially confusion surrounding Palmer’s departure, particularly because he was in the middle of a storyline with Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods of The New Day and WWE never mentioned that he had been released.

“His story is over, no mention on the show, no clips showing if he was injured or anything, no mention of him at all,” said Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio.

“Kofi Kingston was there and there was no confirmation of what they did. So, I mean, he’s out. He’s gone. As far as the reasons why, I think that will probably come out.”

Since then, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.com has confirmed that Jones is accused of domestic violence.

According to Sapp, there is no news of “an arrest or charges related to the situation.” Furthermore, the talents have not been informed of the situation.

WRKD Wrestling also confirmed the information and stated that Sapp’s report confirmed the allegations previously uncovered.

According to WRKD Wrestling, the allegations against Palmer were made in July, but it is unknown when WWE first became aware of them.

Additionally, PWInsiderElite.com reported that people behind the scenes are convinced that Palmer is done with the company and any plans for him are “off the table.”

Palmer, a former offensive guard for the Syracuse Orange football team, made his professional wrestling debut on November 7, 2019.

After a brief hiatus, he returned as Odyssey Jones, wrestling at WWE 205 Live and WWE NXT. After undergoing surgery for a torn patellar tendon, he returned to NXT on October 25, 2022.

Palmer was selected for the RAW brand in the 2023 WWE Draft. He eventually made his RAW debut in August 2024, teaming with The New Day against The Final Testament.

At the time, it seemed as if Palmer would be the trigger for a split between Woods and Kingston, but that will no longer happen.
