Amy Slaton Halterman from TLC’s ‘1000-lb Sisters’ arrested at Tennessee Safari Park

ALAMO, Tenn. (WMC) – Amy Slaton Halterman of TLC’s “1000-lb Sisters” was arrested at Tennessee Safari Park on Labor Day after a camel bite reportedly led to a drug raid on the reality star’s vehicle.

The Crockett County Sheriff’s Department says officers were called to the park in Alamo, Tennessee, on Monday after a visitor was bitten by one of the park’s camels.

When officers arrived at the guest’s vehicle, they “immediately noticed suspicious odors” coming from the car in which Halterman, Brian Scott Lovvorn and two children were sitting.

County authorities did not disclose who was bitten or the extent of the injuries.

Both Halterman and Lovvorn are charged with possession of Schedule I and VI drugs and two counts of endangering a child.

Crockett County General Sessions Judge Paul Conley set bail for Halterman and Lovvorn at $10,000 each on Tuesday.

There is currently no information available about the hearing.
