Women’s soccer team ranks third in Sun Conference preseason coaches poll

The Sun Conference announced the 2024 Preseason Women’s Soccer Coaches Poll on Friday morning, with Keiser selected as the conference’s third-place finisher. Voting on the Sun Conference’s 2024 Preseason Women’s Soccer Coaches Poll was conducted by the conference’s nine head coaches.

League leader

  • SCAD-Savannah earned 60 points, placing it at the top of the poll, including five first-place finishers.
  • Southeastern followed with 56 points and three first-place votes, just ahead of Keiser, who scored 54 points and one first-place vote.

A look back at the last season

  • Last season, the Seahawks finished 13-7-2 and finished fourth in the Sun Conference with a conference record of 8-4-2 in the regular season.
  • The Seahawks reached the NAIA finals after defeating No. 15 College of Idaho 1-0 in the NAIA opening round.
  • Keiser brings back three SUN All-Conference members, including NAIA All-American Georgina Klein
  • Four of the top five scorers from 2023 return with the top scorer Lauren Riley want to take the lead again in 2024
  • In the assists category, Little finished the year with 12 assists, his team’s best performance, and ranked 12th in the NAIA
  • All three goalkeepers from last season return as options for head coach Mat Dunn for 2024
