The Florida State Seminoles have officially begun their home season in Tallahassee, and much like in Ireland, things are less than ideal for the Seminoles.
With Boston College heading into halftime with a 14-6 lead, it’s clear that the Seminoles will have to make some major adjustments for the second half. Perhaps the most critical adjustment at halftime could be personnel changes, particularly at the quarterback position.
Of 27 pass attempts, quarterback DJ Uiagalelei was only able to complete 11 passes (41%), including three consecutive missed shots into the end zone late in the second quarter on a potentially game-winning drive and an interception early in the third quarter.

While there are issues throughout the team on both sides of the ball, Uiagalelei’s inconsistency over the past two weeks has raised many questions. And, regardless of his four years of valuable playing experience, could it be time for redshirt freshman Brock Glenn to take over the quarterback position?
ESPN analyst and 12-year NFL veteran Dan Orlovsky thinks so. Just before halftime, Orlovsky posted on X that “FSU needs to make a QB change.”

Although he doesn’t have the same experience as Uiagalelei, Glenn started two games for the Seminoles last season in the ACC Championship and the Orange Bowl. In his five appearances in 2023, Glenn has completed 19 passes in 51 attempts for 229 yards and 2 interceptions. In addition, Glenn has run 19 times for 22 yards and a touchdown.
