Rick Ross says 50 Cent has gone quiet after Drake’s unofficial loss in rap dispute

50 Cent’s conversation with Million Dollaz Worth of Game hosts Gillie Da King and Wallo will air on Sunday (September 1). Before the full episode airs, the platform released a teaser on Saturday (August 31) in which the New York rap icon takes a swipe at Rick Ross.
“All he does is mention me. When things are bad, he mentions me,” 50 Cent said when asked about their long-running feud. “I get covered everywhere. They get covered on the hip-hop blogs.”
In the next clip, the “Many Men” rapper throws a shade at Ross’ finances. “What kind of rich n**ga mows his own lawn? Why you out there mowing your own lawn? You tryna save money, n**ga?” he asked, referring to a viral clip of the “Ashton Martin Music” singer mowing his 235-acre estate in Fayetteville, Georgia.
It didn’t take long for Ross to respond. In his Instagram stories, he accused 50 Cent of choosing Drake over his mentor and “In da Club” collaborator Dr. Dre. The Maybach Music Group founder explained, “You stood out during the West Coast-Canadians feud and I thought Dr. Dre was targeting you. I thought Dr. Dre was the one. I thought you were loyal to Dr. Dre. So you’re telling me you chose the Canadian over Dr. Dre? Who changed your life?”
He continued, “You shut up when the Canadian lost. You were totally calm.” Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” in particular was widely regarded as the song that secured his unofficial victory over Drake in their much-publicized slugfest.
Nevertheless, 50 Cent claimed in July that the Toronto native had not suffered defeat. He said The Hollywood Reporter“Drake is experiencing what you would call a backlash to his success, to the consistency that he has consistently delivered. I don’t see any loss for Drake. The people who have bought Drake material will buy Drake material when his next song comes out.”
