San Antonio Zoo honors frontline heroes with free admission in September

SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio Zoo has announced Frontline Heroes Appreciation Month, a special event to recognize and thank the brave men and women who serve on the front lines of our communities.

This month-long celebration takes place in September and offers free admission to all frontline heroes, including doctors, nurses, police officers, firefighters and paramedics.

“At the San Antonio Zoo, we deeply appreciate the courage and dedication of our frontline heroes who always put others before themselves,” said Tim Morrow, President and CEO of the San Antonio Zoo. “This initiative is our way of saying thank you and providing these extraordinary individuals with the opportunity to relax and spend quality time with their families. We hope that through this gesture, they can feel our sincere gratitude for their remarkable service and dedication.”

From September 1 to 30, frontline heroes can visit the zoo for free upon presentation of a valid ID. In addition, up to four people accompanying the heroes receive a 50% discount on their day tickets.

As a special treat, Frontline Heroes who visit the zoo after September 21st will have the opportunity to experience the first two weeks of Zoo Boo!, a non-scary daytime Halloween event with daily trick-or-treating. This family-friendly event promises lots of fun and excitement for all ages.

The San Antonio Zoo invites the public to join us in honoring and celebrating the selfless service of our frontline heroes.
