Alec Bohm left the game early on Thursday due to injury.

According to the Phillies, Bohm was taken out of the game due to “discomfort in his left hand.” X-rays were negative.

Bohm felt some discomfort in his left hand after a 2-2 swing in the first inning of Thursday’s game against the Atlanta Braves. The Phillies’ third baseman continued his at-bat – hitting a groundout to second base to advance the two runners on base. He immediately went down to the tunnel with a trainer but came back out for the start of the second inning. He was replaced by Edmundo Sosa at third base in the start of the third inning.

Bohm is in the midst of one of his worst slumps of the season, striking out five in his last 30 at-bats but has been one of the more consistent hitters on the Phillies team for much of the season.

The Phillies are down 0-3 against the Braves in the third inning.
