Sorry to all the Chuck Bass girls out there — Ed Westwick has been officially taken off the market. gossip Girl Alaun married his girlfriend, Supergirl Actress Amy Jackson, at a beautiful Italian wedding on August 24. Two hundred and twenty guests traveled to the Amalfi Coast to celebrate the couple’s love for three days. The celebrations included the wedding itself, a sunset cruise and a farewell brunch. One special guest stood out from the crowd of over two hundred well-wishers: Westwick’s TV Stepmother, Kelly Rutherford.

Rutherford is best known for her role as Lily van der Woodsen. gossip Girl. In the series, Lily marries Chuck’s father, Bart Bass, in the season 1 finale, thus becoming Chuck’s stepmother. The characters develop a very sweet (and in my opinion, criminally underrated) relationship over the course of the series. Lily adopts Chuck in season 2 for practical reasons – otherwise he wouldn’t be able to own Bass Industries. As the series progresses, Lily and Chuck become more than just business partners; they learn to open up and support each other emotionally, like a real mother and son.

The couple’s close relationship is just as strong off-screen as it is on. In a viral TikTok video, Rutherford is seen getting emotional while delivering a toast at Westwick’s wedding. “I’m really, really grateful for our friendship and being able to work with you has been such a gift. Watching you fall in love…” she says, before her throat briefly closes. She continues, “It’s truly been one of the most beautiful things in my life. You are such an incredible man.” I’m getting major Lily and Chuck feels.

Westwick and Rutherford remained friends long after their divorce. gossip Girl days. A charming video of the two See you again at Paris Fashion Week circulated on the Internet in 2023. Already in March, Rutherford confirmed diversitythat she would attend Westwick’s wedding. “I’m still in touch with almost everyone from the show,” she revealed.
Rutherford is the only gossip Girl One cast member confirmed that he was present at Westwick’s wedding. This does not mean that there is bad blood between him and the cast – quite the opposite!
At a performance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen in June, Chace Crawford (who played Chuck’s best friend Nate Archibald in gossip Girl and lived with Westwick during filming) confirmed that he had received an invitation to Westwick’s wedding but was unable to attend due to his filming schedule. Fans may have been deprived of a Chuck and Nate reunion in Italy, but at least we got this picture of them in April!
Congratulations to Ed and his new bride! Lily van der Woodsen would be very proud. We know Kelly Rutherford is.
